Terms of Service

The terms governing our website, workspace, digital services, and connected tools.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the GJ Consulting Group website, online workspace, booking tools, communications, and related digital services (collectively, the “Services”). “GJ Consulting Group,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to GJ Consulting Group. “You” means the person using the Services and, when that person acts for a business or other organization, that organization.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.

Acceptance and Scope

By creating an account, joining or administering a workspace, authorizing an integration, booking through the Services, or otherwise indicating acceptance when these Terms are presented, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

If you do not agree, do not create an account, authorize an integration, or use a part of the Services that requires acceptance. Separate notices or terms may apply to a particular feature and become part of these Terms when presented to you.

Professional Services and Engagement Letters

These Terms govern the digital Services. Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, advisory, career coaching, and other professional work is provided only under an accepted proposal, engagement letter, statement of work, or other written agreement. That agreement controls if it conflicts with these Terms on the scope, fees, responsibilities, or delivery of professional services.

Using the website, sending a message, receiving automated information, or booking a consultation does not by itself create an accountant-client, adviser-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.

Informational Content

Website, chat, workspace, and automated content is provided for general informational and administrative purposes. It is not individualized tax, accounting, legal, financial, or investment advice and should not be treated as a substitute for advice based on your complete circumstances.

You are responsible for decisions made using general information and for obtaining appropriate professional advice. Laws, filing requirements, deadlines, and third-party information may change, and we do not promise that general content will remain complete or current.

Accounts and Workspaces

You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and recovery methods, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Accounts are personal to the identified user and may not be shared.

An organization controls its workspace and decides which authorized users may access its information and features. Workspace administrators are responsible for invitations, roles, permissions, connected services, and the organization’s lawful use of the Services. Access may change when a role, employment relationship, or authorization changes.

Acceptable Use

You may not use the Services to:

  • break the law, violate another person’s rights, or send unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or unsolicited communications
  • access another account, workspace, client record, or conversation without authorization
  • upload malware, disrupt the Services, bypass security or usage controls, or probe for vulnerabilities without written permission
  • scrape, reverse engineer, or use automated means to obtain data except through an interface or API we expressly provide for that purpose
  • misrepresent identity, authority, professional qualifications, services, prices, availability, or the origin of a communication
  • use personal information for a purpose or communication channel not supported by consent, contract, law, or the context in which it was provided

Communications and Booking

When you contact us or request a consultation, you authorize service-related responses through the channel and for the purpose described at collection. Marketing and text messaging are subject to any additional consent language presented to you, and consent to marketing is not a condition of purchasing services.

Availability shown through a booking tool is not a confirmed appointment until the Services provide confirmation. You are responsible for checking the displayed time zone and the accuracy of information submitted with a booking.

AI-Assisted Features

Some features may use artificial intelligence to draft, summarize, classify, or deliver administrative communications. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. Unless a feature clearly states otherwise, it is not professional advice or a promise concerning price, eligibility, availability, deadlines, or outcomes.

We apply human-review options and operational safeguards appropriate to each feature, but you remain responsible for reviewing information and decisions for which the Services require your approval. You may not use an AI-assisted feature to impersonate another person or evade applicable communication, privacy, or professional obligations.

Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Services may connect with third-party platforms such as Thumbtack, Google Calendar, communications providers, hosting providers, analytics services, and AI technology providers. Your use of a third-party platform remains subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices. We do not control and are not responsible for a third party’s service, availability, or independent conduct.

When an authorized workspace administrator connects an integration, the organization authorizes the exchange and processing of information needed to operate it. The administrator represents that the organization owns or is authorized to use the connected account and may disconnect it through the supported controls.

For Thumbtack, the Services act as a workspace tool for a professional to receive and respond to existing Thumbtack leads. A customer continues to communicate through Thumbtack and does not become a workspace user. A customer’s service request permits relevant communication within that negotiation; it does not by itself authorize unrelated email, text messaging, newsletters, or other marketing.

Professional Fees

The online workspace does not currently sell subscriptions or accept payments. Any fees, billing schedules, expenses, cancellation terms, or refund terms for accounting, consulting, or other professional work are established only through the applicable proposal, engagement letter, statement of work, invoice, or other separate written agreement. Website descriptions and starting prices are not binding quotes unless expressly identified as such.

Customer Content and Data

You retain your rights in information and materials you submit or authorize a third party to provide to the Services. You grant us permission to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.

You represent that you have the rights and lawful basis needed to provide content and to instruct us to process it. Our collection, use, retention, disclosure, and protection of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The Services, including their software, design, branding, and original content, are owned by GJ Consulting Group or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Services for their intended business purpose.

No right is granted to copy, sell, sublicense, publish, or create derivative works from the Services except as permitted by law or in writing. Names and marks belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

Availability and Changes

We work to keep the Services reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be limited, paused, modified, or discontinued for maintenance, security, legal, provider, or business reasons. Third-party outages may affect only the connected feature while the rest of the Services remains available.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services and may disconnect supported integrations at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Services, respond to legal requirements, prevent misuse, address nonpayment, or investigate a suspected violation of these Terms.

Termination or disconnection does not erase obligations incurred before it occurred. Data is retained, exported, deleted, or de-identified according to the Privacy Policy, applicable agreements, legal requirements, and supported administrative controls.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the digital Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Nothing in this section limits an express commitment in an applicable professional-services agreement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GJ Consulting Group and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and suppliers will not be liable under these Terms for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, opportunities, or data, arising from the digital Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, aggregate liability arising from the digital Services will not exceed the amount you paid specifically for those Services during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms with a new “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law or when a material change requires renewed acceptance. Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date.
